LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CORPORATE LEADERS TAKE IT TO THE GREENS

The Atlanta Police Foundation Tee’s Up for the 2017 Link Up Against Crime Golf Tournament

The Atlanta Police Foundation and The Atlanta Police Department are gearing up for the 2017 Link Up Against Crime Golf Tournament on Monday, May 15 at the Capital City Country Club Brookhaven. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit the mission-critical programs of the Atlanta Police Foundation.

Each year, golfers gather in anticipation to play with some of Atlanta’s Finest, while enjoying one of Georgia’s most renowned courses. More than 100 players, including corporate CEOs and Atlanta Police Department command staff will gather for a quick ceremony at Noon and then head to the green for 18-holes.

Thomas Wiley, Jr., CEO of State Bank & Trust will serve as the honorary chair, while Jimmy Johnson, Retired Senior Vice President of Sales for RR Donnelley will serve as the event chair.

This annual golf tournament is organized as a part of the Atlanta Police Foundation’s campaign to raise funds to support strategic public safety initiatives throughout the City of Atlanta. Earnings from the tournament will go directly to funding Foundation programs such as Operation Shield, focused on making Atlanta a smart policing city through the use of technology, At-Promise, a youth crime prevention initiative, Officer Scholarships and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta.
