FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SATURDAY 8/17: Atlanta Police Foundation and Atlanta Track Club Host Annual Atlanta’s Finest 5K Fundraiser Supporting Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta
ATLANTA, GA — Do you remember the story of Clayton County’s most wanted murder suspect who was caught in a hotel during Memorial weekend of this year?
Thanks to the help of community members who called Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta (CSGA) anonymously, the murder suspect, Victor Langston, was located in a Dekalb County hotel and taken into custody. Since the anonymous tip led to an arrest, a monetary reward was given to the anonymous tipster.
The Atlanta Police Foundation, in partnership with the Atlanta Track Club, is hosting Atlanta’s Finest 5K, an annual fundraiser dedicated to supporting the Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta program. The program provides cash rewards of up to $2,000 to citizens who anonymously provide tips leading to arrests.
This event is a unique opportunity for businesses, community members, and public safety advocates to come together for a cause that directly impacts the safety and well-being of our city. With over 2,000 participants expected, Atlanta’s Finest 5K is not only a race but also a powerful statement of our community’s commitment to crime reduction and public safety.

About Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta: CSGA is a community-based, non-profit program, managed by the Atlanta Police Foundation and its civilian-volunteer advisory board. This program works because of its unique partnership between the public, the media and law enforcement, working together to resolve community problems through the apprehension of criminals and prevention of crime.
