(Oct.1, 2024)– The Atlanta Police Foundation (APF) invites neighborhood leaders and community stakeholders to a special home showing at 730 Dill Ave on Oct. 1 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., showcasing the transformation of a once notorious drug house into a newly renovated home available for purchase by an Atlanta Police Department (APD) officer as part of the Secure Neighborhoods program.

This property holds significant historical value, as it was once a center of violent crime, including a stabbing and a killing. According to police records, the residence generated numerous community complaints, leading to nine search warrants for illegal drug activity. The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office ultimately seized the property after a three-day trial, following rampant criminal activity at the address.

In a major step toward revitalizing the community, the property was sold to the Atlanta Police Foundation, which has since renovated the home. Now, it stands as a symbol of safety and progress, soon to be owned by an APD officer who will live in the neighborhood they serve.

Home showing details:

  • Date: Oct. 1, 2024
