(Jan.22, 2025) – The Atlanta Police Foundation (APF) is proud to announce the return of “Filing for Freedom” a community-driven initiative offering free tax preparation services. This collaborative effort is made possible by the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Tax Sections of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association (Pro Bono Committee), the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Their partnership with APF underscores a shared commitment to providing vital resources to those who serve and protect our community.

The program is specifically designed to benefit the Atlanta Police Department, Atlanta Police Recruits, the Atlanta Department of Corrections, and Atlanta Fire & Rescue personnel. By providing these essential services, the event aims to alleviate the stress of tax season for public safety employees and their families, ensuring they can focus on their critical roles in the community. Participants can receive expert assistance from tax professionals and legal advisors in a supportive and confidential environment.
