Homicide in Gainesville
Detectives with the Gainesville Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in providing information related to a homicide that occurred at 1640 Roper Hill Road.
On April 27, 2024, the victim, 16-year-old Jaishawn Overstreet, met with an unknown subject at the Ridgecrest Apartments located at 1640 Roper Hill Road. It is believed that the meeting was for alleged criminal activity. During this encounter, Overstreet was shot. Overstreet died two days later as a result of his injuries.
Possible witnesses worked with a GPD sketch artist to obtain a composite drawing of the potential suspect. If you can help identify this person or have any information that may assist in this case, please call 911.
Homicide in Paulding County
*VICTIM PICTURED* Detectives with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are requesting the public’s assistance with providing information related to a homicide that occurred at 158 Riverbend Trail.
On January 11, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a 911 call was placed to the Paulding County Communications Center indicating that a male subject was located at 158 Riverbend Trail, Douglasville, Georgia, who appeared deceased. Deputies responded to the scene and located the male later identified as CHARVIS BAULDING (pictured). He was pronounced deceased from a gunshot wound.
Homicide on Stone Hogan Connector
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit are requesting the public’s assistance with providing any information on a homicide that occurred at 3034 Stone Hogan Connector Road SW on December 2nd, 2022.
On December 2nd, 2022, at approximately 2:47PM, officers responded to 3034 Stone Hogan Connector Road SW in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located 33-year-old Jonathan Johnson who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head. Mr. Johnson was transported to a nearby hospital where, despite life-saving efforts, he would later succumb to his injuries.
Larceny at Sephora
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny Unit are seeking assistance in identifying the shoplifter seen in the attached photo.
On April 08, 2024, at approximately 7:19 p.m., a female suspect entered the Sephora store located at Atlantic Station and stole $555.49 of store merchandise. The female was observed concealing products in her purse and leaving without paying for the items.
Homicide in Cobb County
Detectives with the Cobb County Police Department Homicide Unit are requesting the public’s assistance with providing information on the suspects shown in the attached photographs.
On March 21, 2024, at approximately 1828 hours Cobb County Police officers responded to the Extended Stay America off Powers Ferry Rd and Baby Does Ln for a male bleeding in a vehicle. The male, who was later identified as Curtis Coleman, was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. During the investigation detectives learned two males were seen standing along Baby Does Ln between the Extended Stay hotel and a Chevron gas station trying to flag people down as they passed by. Surveillance video was obtained of two males who are considered persons of interest.
Burglary
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Burglary Unit are requesting the public’s assistance with providing information on the suspects shown in attached photographs.
On March 24th, 2024, at approximately 9:37AM, officers responded to 699 Rankin Street NE in reference to a burglary to a business. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the manager of the location who stated that the maintenance room had been broken into. The manager advised that a number of building and construction tools were missing from the location including batteries, compressors, cutters, drills, drivers, grinders, saws, and power tools. The manager was able to provide surveillance footage of the suspects.
Theft from Auto
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny from Auto Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect seen in the shared BOLO and video.
On April 5, 2024, the suspect seen in the shared video broke into a vehicle on Van Epps St. SE. During the break-in, the suspect stole a D.J.I. drone, cash, and a magazine for an AR-15 rifle. Please note the tattoo on the suspect’s right hand. Investigators are asking for anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity, criminal activity, or possible gang affiliation to contact Crime Stoppers.
Shooting in Rodney Cook Sr. Park
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Departments Aggravated Assault Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying suspects. On March 31, 2024, a group of males were involved in a verbal dispute on the basketball courts at Rodney Cook Sr. Park. The dispute escalated to an exchange of gunfire that resulted in a 3-year-old being grazed.
On March 31, 2024, at approximately 6:13 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 1 officers responded to a report of a person shot near Vine St. NW & Thurmond St. NW, Rodney Cook Sr. Park. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 3-year-old victim who had sustained a graze wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance alert, conscious, and breathing. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
Damage to APD Vehicle
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department are seeking assistance identifying a male suspect involved in a damaging a City of Atlanta Patrol Vehicle. The report, surveillance video and photos of the suspect have been attached.
On 3/14/24, around 9:22am, officers responded to a damage to city property call at the location of Public Safety Headquarters at 226 Peachtree St SW. Upon arrival, officers observed that a marked City of Atlanta Patrol vehicle was damaged by a male suspect. The vehicle was parked and unattended and sustained damage to the rear and driver’s side window. Preliminary investigation indicates a male suspect, threw a rock at the vehicle, causing damage. The suspect was captured on surveillance leaving the scene on foot. The investigation continues.
