Dear APF,
I want to express my deepest gratitude to you and all your generous contributors for your support during a challenging time for my family.
On 3/16/23, at 7:00 am, I returned home to find our house filled with smoke due to an electrical fire. I quickly evacuated my wife’s younger brother and sister from the house and then assisted my wife’s blind father to safety. Unfortunately, I sustained second-degree burns in the process and spent two days hospitalized.
While I was recovering in the hospital, my family had no place to go. Luckily, the Atlanta Police Foundation located an Airbnb that could comfortably accommodate my family of eight and provided us with a Target gift card and financial assistance to purchase essential items.
I cannot adequately express my gratitude for the support and care provided by the Atlanta Police Foundation during this difficult time.
