The annual Crime is Toast breakfast highlights Atlanta Police Department’s brave acts of service in our community. Along with more than 1,000 business and community members in attendance, we honor the men and women of APD by presenting awards for outstanding service including Officer of the Year, Purple Heart and Meritorious Service.

This year, we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Atlanta Police Department. The event was chaired by Chris Womack, CEO of Southern Company, and included several keynote speakers, including Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.
